Is my configuration data kept private?
Yes. This converter operates 100% locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your sensitive JSON payloads, YAML configurations, or XML schemas are never transmitted to any server. It is completely safe for internal company API data.
Are conversions completely lossless?
It depends on the formats. YAML and JSON are mostly compatible, though YAML natively supports dates and anchors which JSON does not. When converting to XML, we utilize an AST (Abstract Syntax Tree) to guarantee XML attributes and text nodes are not destroyed during round-trip conversions.
Why did my duplicate JSON keys disappear?
The standard JSON specification (RFC 8259) does not strictly forbid duplicate keys, but almost all standard parsers (including native JavaScript) will silently overwrite them, keeping only the final value. Our converter analyzes your payload and warns you if silent data loss has occurred.
Can this handle massive files?
Yes. By utilizing dedicated Web Workers, the parsing and serializing of multi-megabyte JSON or XML files are offloaded from your main display thread. This prevents your browser window from freezing during heavy processing.
