Frequently Asked Questions

Can this tool extract code from IDE and terminal screenshots?

Yes. Standard OCR tools often fail when reading light text on dark backgrounds. We built an "Invert Colors (Dark Mode)" preprocessing option specifically to help engineers accurately extract code, terminal errors, and logs from dark-mode screenshots.

Are my uploaded images secure and private?

Absolutely. Your images are never uploaded to our servers. All image processing and text extraction happens 100% locally within your browser using WebAssembly. This ensures full compliance with strict enterprise data and privacy policies.

How do I fix OCR giving me gibberish on structured layouts?

If you are extracting text from a UI screenshot or a code snippet rather than a standard page, change the Layout Mode setting. Using "Code Snippet / Uniform Block" prevents the engine from forcefully treating your image like a multi-column document.

Does it support multiple languages in a single image?

Yes. You can select multiple languages in the Language Selection box (for example, English and Japanese). The engine will process the image recognizing character sets from all selected languages simultaneously.
